The Cypress community is gearing up for the annual Bridgeland Community Fun Run/Walk for Heroes, a yearly charity event that promises fun, fitness, and solidarity in supporting resident veterans in the area. Since its inception in 2016, the charity run has been organized by The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans Inc (TBCSVI), a group dedicated to honoring and aiding our nation's heroes.
The upcoming event, scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2024, will kick off at Festival Park in Lakeland Village. Offering a variety of races - from a paced 10K run to a leisurely 5K run or walk, all due to start at 8 a.m. Kids have their share of fun, too, with a 1K run along Lake Bridgeland set to commence at 9 a.m - a race that also opens the door for strollers and wagons. The event promises not just exercise and fresh air but also a day of community bonding with booth vendors, entertainment, and a myriad of children's activities.
