Stageworks Theatre has officially opened registration for its 2026 Summer Programs, offering a wide range of theatre camps, youth productions, and performing arts classes designed to help young performers learn, grow, and take the stage.
The summer lineup from the nonprofit community theatre includes full-scale musical productions, acting workshops, technical theatre training, and performance intensives for children and teens. Programs are designed to give students the opportunity to explore theatre in a supportive environment while building confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills.
According to the organization’s summer program announcement, the season will include opportunities for students to learn, stage, and perform in productions while also developing acting, singing, dancing, and technical theatre skills.
Located at 10760 Grant Rd, Houston, TX 77070, Stageworks Theatre has long served as a creative hub for families across northwest Harris County, including Cypress, Tomball, and surrounding communities.

Summer Skills Classes Build Acting, Singing and Performance Confidence
In addition to staged productions, Stageworks Theatre will offer summer performing arts skills classes designed to strengthen foundational theatre abilities.
These classes include:
-
Triple Threat Express – A training program focused on acting, singing, and dancing skills.
-
Stage Combat Skills Class – A specialized course teaching safe techniques for choreographed stage fighting.
-
Musical Madness – A jukebox musical class for young performers interested in musical theatre performance.
These workshops allow students to focus on individual skill development while working alongside peers who share an interest in theatre.
Behind-the-Scenes Training in Technical Theatre
For students curious about what happens behind the curtain, Stageworks is also introducing an Intro to Technical Theatre course for teens ages 13–18.
The hands-on class teaches the fundamentals of stage production, including lighting design, sound programming, projections, and special effects such as fog or haze used in theatrical productions.
The course is designed for students interested in becoming stage managers, technicians, designers, or production crew members—roles that are essential to bringing live performances to life.
Building Confidence Through the Arts
Stageworks Theatre has served the northwest Houston arts community for years as a local nonprofit theatre company dedicated to performance, education, and community engagement. Through its Acting Academy and youth programs, the organization provides opportunities for students to develop artistic talent while gaining valuable life skills.
Participation in theatre programs can help young people build:
- Public speaking and communication skills
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Creativity and self-expression

For many students, summer theatre programs also create lasting friendships and memorable experiences that extend far beyond the stage.
