CFISD Career Fair at Berry Center on March 31: Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Hiring Teachers, Nurses and Support Staff for 2026–2027 School Year

March 05 2026

For residents across northwest Harris County who have ever considered working in education or supporting local schools, an upcoming hiring event could open the door to a new career path.

Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) has announced a districtwide Career Fair scheduled for March 31 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Berry Center, located at 8877 Barker Cypress Rd, Cypress, TX 77433, where prospective teachers, administrators and support staff can meet directly with campus leaders and district departments looking to hire for the 2026–2027 school year.

With the theme “Your Path Starts Here,” the event is designed as a meet-and-greet opportunity for job seekers interested in becoming part of one of the largest and fastest-growing school districts in Texas.

Doors for the CFISD Career Fair will open at 3:45 p.m., giving applicants time to check in before speaking with hiring representatives from across the district.

A Major Employer Serving Northwest Harris County Communities

For many families living in Cypress, Katy, and surrounding northwest Harris County neighborhoods, CFISD schools are at the center of daily life. The district is currently the third-largest school district in Texas and the 22nd-largest in the United States, employing more than 19,000 staff members.

Because of that scale, CFISD is also one of the largest employers in the region, supporting thousands of educators, specialists and operational staff who help keep schools running smoothly for students and families.

District leaders say the goal of the Career Fair is to connect passionate professionals with a school system focused on student success and strong community engagement.

During the 2025–2026 school year alone, the CFISD human resources department hired more than 1,300 teachers, and hiring efforts are continuing as the district prepares for the upcoming academic year.

CFISD currently offers a starting teacher salary of $65,000, along with a competitive benefits package.
