Hightop Ridge Trash & Recycling
The City of Converse contracts with Waste Management for residential garbage and recycling service. Each residential customer receives a 96-gallon trash cart and a 96-gallon recycling cart. All material must fit inside the appropriate cart; crews do not collect bags or items left beside it.
Collection schedule
Trash and recycling are collected weekly on the same assigned route day. Because routes changed in August 2026, residents should confirm the current day using the City's address map or street schedule rather than relying on older Tuesday/Friday information.

Recycle right
- Recycle clean, dry bottles, cans, cups, tubs, paper and flattened cardboard.
- Keep food and liquid out of the recycling cart.
- Do not bag recyclables or place loose plastic bags or film in the cart.
- Keep batteries out of both trash and recycling; use an approved battery drop-off.
Waste Management closes only on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Check the City page for holiday service changes.
