Hearthstone Garden Club Arbor Day Celebration & Tree Dedications at Bob Allen Park

Residents of the Hearthstone subdivision and surrounding northwest Houston communities are invited to attend the annual Arbor Day Celebration hosted by the Hearthstone Garden Club, a Gold rated member of the Houston Federation of Garden Clubs.

The morning begins with a social gathering and refreshments at 9:30 a.m. at the Pavilion on the west side of Bob Allen Park along Ameswood Drive. The official Arbor Day program starts at 10:00 a.m. with the dedication of a Chinese Fringe Tree near the east entrance of the park off Huffmeister Road.

Following the first ceremony, attendees will walk along the park’s trail to the west side for the second dedication — a Texas native Nuttall Tree planted along the walking trail parallel to Ameswood Drive. The event will conclude at approximately 11:00 a.m.

This community Arbor Day event honors two longtime garden club members while contributing to neighborhood beautification and environmental stewardship in Hearthstone.
