CFISD High School Golf, Track Standouts Earn Postseason Honors

Eight CFISD student-athletes representing six high schools earned all-state and regional accolades for the 2022-2023 season by the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA), Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA), Houston Chronicle and VYPE Houston. 

In girl’s track and field, Cypress Ranch High School junior Celeste Robinson (100-meter dash) and Cypress Ridge High School senior Rylee Hampton (100-meter hurdles) were both named to the Houston Chronicle’s All-Greater Houston team. Both joined Bridgeland High School senior Lillian Harden on the TGCA Class 6A All-State Team. 

Cypress Ridge High School senior Rylee Hampton was named to the Houston Chronicle’s All-Greater Houston team in girl’s track and field. 
 

Robinson was named the VYPE Houston Track Public School Girl’s Athlete of the Year and joined Harden in being named to the THSCA Class 6A Super Elite Team.

In boy’s track and field, Bridgeland junior Benjamin Montgomery and Langham Creek High School graduates Alex Ornelas and Jaquaize Pettaway were selected to the THSCA Class 6A Super Elite Team. 
 
Langham Creek High School graduate Jaquaize Pettaway was selected to the Texas High School Coaches Association Class 6A Super Elite Team. 
 
In girl’s golf, Jersey Village High School junior Daniela Palmeros was named to the THSCA Class 6A Super Elite Team. Cy-Fair High School graduate Ashleen Kaur was named to the Houston Chronicle’s All-Greater Houston second team.
