Trash collection days are Wednesday. All collections must be at the curb no later than by 6:30 a.m. on your service day.
The City of Conroe provides residential garbage and recycling services through Frontier Waste Solutions. To help keep Chapel Run clean and ensure reliable service, residents should follow these guidelines.
Weekly Garbage Collection
Each home receives a 95-gallon trash cart with a green lid for household garbage.
Rules for Garbage
- Place carts at the curb no later than 6:30 AM on your service day.
- Trash must be bagged before placing it in the cart to reduce odor and litter.
- The cart lid must close completely; items should not extend above the rim.
- Use only the city-issued carts provided for collection.
- Leave at least 4 feet of space around carts so the automated truck can service them safely.
Excess Garbage
- Extra bags must have approved city tags.
- Each extra bag must weigh no more than 50 pounds.
Items NOT Allowed in Garbage
Do not place these in your trash cart:
- Construction debris
- Household hazardous waste
- Chemicals, oils, or antifreeze
- Electronics or televisions
- Concrete, bricks, roofing materials, or dirt
Weekly Recycling Collection
Residents receive a 95-gallon recycling cart with a yellow lid.
Recycling Rules
- Recycling is collected once per week on the same day as garbage service.
- Do NOT bag recyclables. Place items loose in the cart.
- Only place clean and dry materials inside the recycling cart.
Common Recyclable Items
Examples include:
- Plastic bottles and jugs (water, milk, detergent)
- Aluminum cans and steel cans
- Paper and cardboard
- Clean food containers
If non-acceptable items are placed in the cart, service may be delayed until the next pickup day.

Monthly Bulk & Yard Waste Collection
The city provides manual collection once per month for larger items.
Examples of Bulk Items
- Furniture
- Appliances
- Large household items that do not fit in the trash cart
Bulk Pickup Requirements
Must be scheduled at least 2 business days in advance.
Place items at the curb by 6:30 AM on your service day.
Yard Waste / Brush
Limbs should be cut to 4-foot lengths and bundled with string or twine.
Each bundle must weigh 50 pounds or less.
Items NOT Accepted in Bulk Pickup
- Construction debris
- Concrete or bricks
- Hazardous materials
- Vehicle parts
- Computers or televisions
Holiday Service Changes
Garbage, recycling, and bulk pickup are not collected on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If your service day falls on one of these holidays, collection will be delayed by one day for the rest of that week.
Important Tips for Chapel Run Residents
- Always place carts with wheels toward the curb and lid opening toward the street.
- Keep carts out of sight except on collection day if possible.
- Do not block carts with vehicles or other objects.
- Report missed pickups or damaged carts to Frontier Waste Solutions.
