Nine CFISD middle school productions placed and were recognized at the district’s Middle School UIL One-Act Play contest, held Nov. 2-4 at the Berry Center. 

The following three productions placed in Zone I:

• The Legend of Sleepy Hollow – Salyards Middle School;
• Shakespeare Unbound – Anthony Middle School; and
• OZ – Watkins Middle School.

Alexis Edem (Anthony) and Cole Shelton (Watkins) were named Best Performers in Zone I.

The following students were named to the All-Star Cast in Zone I:

The following students earned Honorable Mention, All-Star Cast in Zone I:

Salyards Middle School was awarded Best Technical Crew in Zone I.

The following three productions placed in Zone II:

• Frankenstein Slept Here – Goodson Middle School;
• To Burn a Witch – Campbell Middle School; and
• The Emperor’s New Clothes – Dean Middle School.

Halley Phan (Campbell) and Gabby Liger (Goodson) were named Best Performers in Zone II.

Goodson Middle School was awarded Best Technical Crew in Zone II.

The following three productions placed in Zone III:

• Small Actors – Spillane Middle School;
• Chemical Imbalance: A Jekyll and Hyde Play – Cook Middle School; and
• Zink: The Myth, The Legend, The Zebra – Labay Middle School.

Mia Santorii (Cook) and Jonathan Edwards (Spillane) were named Best Performers in Zone III.
