Heart of Hope: Magnolia Soap & Bath Cypress Partners with Cy-Fair Helping Hands for September Fundraiser
A handcrafted soap bar is taking on a heartfelt mission this September. Magnolia Soap & Bath Co. in Cypress has partnered with Cy-Fair Helping Hands (CFHH) to launch the “Heart of Hope” bar—an aromatic blend of patchouli, vanilla, lavender, and woodsy notes—with 100% of the proceeds going directly to support CFHH’s expansive community outreach programs.
Available throughout the month of September at Magnolia’s Cypress location (9430 Fry Rd, Cypress, TX 77433), the limited-edition soap bar was personally designed by CFHH Executive Director Janet Ryan and Director of Community Outreach Pat Hudson, with guidance from Magnolia Cypress owner Marisa Rzik and General Manager Sally Hamilton.
“We wanted to create something that not only smelled beautiful but also represented the resilience and compassion that lives in this community,” said Ryan. “This partnership is about more than just a fundraiser—it’s a reminder that hope can be found in the smallest gestures.”
The bar retails for $8, making it an affordable way for shoppers to give back while stocking up on gifts for friends, family, co-workers, or church groups. It also marks the local store’s latest contribution to Magnolia’s national “Hope in Soap” initiative, which supports a different nonprofit organization each month through limited-run products.
“Together, we can spread hope—one bar at a time,” Magnolia Soap & Bath Cypress shared in a recent social media post. “Pick up one (or a few!) and join us in giving back to our community.”

A Clean Business with a Community Mission
Magnolia Soap & Bath Co., which opened its Cypress location in June 2025, has quickly become a neighborhood favorite for clean beauty products made in-store. Originally founded in Mississippi by a mother searching for safe skincare options for her daughter, the brand now spans more than 50 family-run franchises. Its Cypress location offers a full suite of plant-based bath and body products, along with fun DIY soap-making and bath bomb parties designed to bring families, friends, and neighbors together.
But beyond the colorful soaps and bubbly celebrations, Magnolia has built its name on service—giving back to causes that make a difference in their communities.
“From the moment we opened, we knew we wanted to be more than just a retail store,” said Hamilton. “Partnering with Cy-Fair Helping Hands allows us to use our platform to bring attention—and resources—to the incredible work they’re doing here in Cy-Fair.”
Helping Hands That Reach Far and Wide
Founded in 2010 by Cy-Fair residents Jean and John Dreyer, CFHH began with one woman, a pot of soup, and a mission to serve the homeless in northwest Houston. Since then, it has grown into a multifaceted nonprofit with programs that span emergency shelter, food assistance, mental health counseling, and education scholarships.
Its Community Food Pantry, Homeless Day Center, and Back-to-School Backpack Drive support hundreds of individuals and families across the CFISD area each year. Unique programs like “From Streets to Stability” help families transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency, while initiatives like “Fill-a-Bin” and “Upward Progress” offer discreet support for homeless and underprivileged students in local schools.

“We know that hard times can come from anything—a job loss, illness, a natural disaster. Our job is to stand in the gap,” said Hudson. “When you buy a Heart of Hope bar this September, you’re directly helping us provide food, shelter, and resources to those who need them most.”
