The My Neighborhood News Live Music Fix series is brought to you in part by Joyce Skala of Cypress Music Scene (CMS), and spotlights local bands and venues in Cypress. CMS is a dynamic Facebook page that brings local musicians together to share information about their upcoming gigs, collaborate and support one another. In addition to being a vital connector in the vibrant music scene in Cypress, Joyce is also the lead singer of HURRY SUNDOWN in Cypress.
The Greater Houston Area has long since been known for its vibrant entertainment scene. In venues big and small, musicians across virtually every genre from local talent to internationally acclaimed artists are bringing live music from Downtown Houston to the outermost suburbs, including Cypress. With so many top notch venues in the Cypress area that provide a relaxed atmosphere for locals to unwind and soak up quality live music, there are plenty of opportunities to get your live music fix close to home.

Andy's Bar and Grill @ 8:00 PM | Karaoke with Donovan Ti
Donovan Ti is a musician by trade who writes and plays guitar and piano. He hosts karaoke at many local venues, receiving rave reviews from fans that applaud his engagement with audiences at his live shows.
BFE Rock Club @ 7:00 PM | February's Face Off
Local bands Combustion 96, In Between Tides, Miranda's Warning, Held In Orbit, and Orca will battle it out on stage with back-to-back performances. Sets each last one hour.
The Barn @ 6:00 PM | Texas Legacy
Texas Legacy Band, founded by Pete Edwards in 2019, is a versatile music group blending country, classic rock, and blues genres. Based in Houston, they perform across Texas with a lineup ranging from solo to 5-piece band.
Brew:30 Taphouse @ 6:30 PM | Trivia with DJ Scott
Trivia night is a mainstay for DJ Scott, who is a fan favorite at Brew:30 Taphouse in Cypress.
Creekwood Grill @ 6:30 PM | Kris Collins
Native Houstonian Kris Collins is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who plays soul-infused southern blues.
Cypress Trail Hideout @ 7:00 PM | Gabriel Montoya
Gabriel Montoya is a singer and guitarist covering songs from the 60s through the 00s. He is a Katy resident and alumnus of James E. Taylor High School.
Hidden Cellar Wine Bar @ 7:00 | Bryan Scott
Realtor by day, Bryan Scott was the lead singer of Sick Puppies, an Australian alternative metal band. Bryan is a native Houstonian and graduate of Klein Oak High School.

Jeramy Webb of the Jeramy Webb Duo plays rhythm guitar and vocals for Pur Caine Sugar, a band of local Kingwood artists who play a unique pairing of country, rock and other genres.
Brew:30 Taphouse @ 6:30 PM | Loaded Dan
This classic garage band, Loaded Dan, plays classic rock favorites and blues fun party tunes.
Creekwood Grill @ 6:30 PM | Righteous Cause Band
Righteous Cause Band is a classic rock and country trio that plays fan favorites from the 60s and 70s.
Cypress Trail Hideout @ 7:00 PM | Tyler Hodgson
Magnolia-based musician Tyler Hodgson is a vocalist and rhythm guitar player as a George Strait tribute soloist, playing at venues across the Greater Houston Area.
Hidden Cellar Wine Bar @ 7:00 | James Roosa
Soloist James Roosa has been playing for 35 years and covers songs across multiple genres including classic rock, new and old country, Motown, 80s, modern rock, and more.
Mo's Irish Pub - Vintage Park @ 8:00 PM | Mr. Wonderful
Mr. Wonderful is a Houston Texas based 80's Pop and New Wave tribute band formed in 2910 that features Stacey Steele on vocals/bass guitar, Kent Newman on vocals/lead guitar/keyboard programming, and John Douglas on drums/vocals.
