The My Neighborhood News Live Music Fix series is brought to you in part by Joyce Skala of Cypress Music Scene (CMS), and spotlights local bands and venues in Cypress. CMS is a dynamic Facebook page that brings local musicians together to share information about their upcoming gigs, collaborate and support one another. In addition to being a vital connector in the vibrant music scene in Cypress, Joyce is also the lead singer of HURRY SUNDOWN in Cypress.
The Greater Houston Area has long since been known for its vibrant entertainment scene. In venues big and small, musicians across virtually every genre from local talent to internationally acclaimed artists are bringing live music from Downtown Houston to the outermost suburbs, including Cypress. With so many top notch venues in the Cypress area that provide a relaxed atmosphere for locals to unwind and soak up quality live music, there are plenty of opportunities to get your live music fix close to home.

Trivia night is a mainstay for DJ Scott, who is a fan favorite at Brew:30 Taphouse in Cypress.

Gabriel Montoya is a singer and guitarist covering songs from the 60s through the 00s. He is a Katy resident and alumnus of James E. Taylor High School.

Bryan Scott was the lead singer of Sick Puppies, an Australian alternative metal band. Bryan is a native Houstonian and graduate of Klein Oak High School.

Jeramy Webb of the
Jeramy Webb Duo plays rhythm guitar and vocals for Pur Caine Sugar, a band of local Kingwood artists who play a unique pairing of country, rock and other genres.

Loaded Dan, plays classic rock favorites and blues fun party tunes.
Creekwood Grill @ 6:30 PM | Righteous Cause Band
Righteous Cause Band is a classic rock and country trio that plays fan favorites from the 60s and 70s.

Tyler Hodgson is a vocalist and rhythm guitar player as a George Strait tribute soloist, playing at venues across the Greater Houston Area.

James Roosa has been playing for 35 years and covers songs across multiple genres including classic rock, new and old country, Motown, 80s, modern rock, and more.
Mr. Wonderful is a Houston Texas based 80's Pop and New Wave tribute band formed in 2910 that features Stacey Steele on vocals/bass guitar, Kent Newman on vocals/lead guitar/keyboard programming, and John Douglas on drums/vocals.
Cody Taylor is a country music singer/songwriter who plays across the Greater Houston Area, including several popular spots ons the Cypress area.
Clay Melton is a 28-year-old rocker from Louisiana with a powerful raspy voice and wicked guitar licks. His music has gained international recognition, including reaching #1 on the Roots Music Blues Rock chart.
