City of Katy Fall 2025 Community Campout: Free Family Event with Movie, Dinner, and S’mores at VFW Park
Families in Katy are invited to experience the magic of camping—without leaving town—at the Fall 2025 Community Campout, hosted by the City of Katy Parks and Recreation Department at VFW Park, November 14–15.
This free community event in Katy promises a full evening of family-friendly fun, including dinner, an outdoor movie screening of Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch,” s’mores by the fire, and a light breakfast on Saturday morning. From setting up tents to quiet time under the stars, the event is designed to bring families together in a safe, screen-free, community-focused setting.
Set-up begins Friday at 4:00 p.m., with Trinity Faith Church generously serving nachos during arrival. Hot dogs and chips will be served at 6:00 p.m., followed by popcorn and s’mores during the movie at 6:30 p.m. “Lights out” is at 10:00 p.m. for a peaceful night’s rest, with a light breakfast available at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning before camp breaks by 9:00 a.m.
