Second Pure Barre Studio Coming to Katy Area, Expanding Into Jordan Ranch Community

April 01 2026

A second Pure Barre studio is making its way to the Katy area—this time in Jordan Ranch near Fulshear—adding to a growing list of nearby options for residents looking to stay active close to home.

Construction is now underway for Pure Barre at Shops at Jordan Crossing, located at 29911 Jordan Crossing Boulevard, Suite 200, near Texas Heritage Parkway. The project, which began April 1, 2026, is a first-generation interior build-out of approximately 1,700 square feet, with an estimated cost of $180,000 and a targeted completion by the end of May.

While the space itself is still in progress, its arrival signals something larger for this growing pocket of Fort Bend County: increased access to boutique fitness experiences that are designed not just around workouts, but around routine, connection, and long-term wellness.

A Growing Wellness Presence in Jordan Ranch and Katy

As Katy and nearby master-planned communities like Jordan Ranch continue to expand, so does demand for fitness options that fit into busy, family-centered lifestyles. The addition of Pure Barre aligns with that trend—offering structured, group-based classes that emphasize consistency and accessibility rather than high-impact intensity.

Once open, the studio is expected to operate daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., giving residents flexibility to incorporate fitness into morning routines, midday breaks, or evening schedules without leaving the community.

The location within Shops at Jordan Crossing also reinforces a broader pattern in Katy-area development: bringing everyday amenities closer to home, reducing drive times, and strengthening the sense of a self-contained neighborhood.

What Is Pure Barre? A National Brand With Local Reach

Pure Barre is part of a larger movement in boutique fitness that has gained traction across the country over the past decade. As the largest barre franchise in North America—with more than 600 studios and over 550,000 clients—the brand has built a reputation around low-impact, high-intensity workouts that focus on small, controlled movements.

The concept blends elements of ballet-inspired barre work, strength training, flexibility, and balance, creating a format that appeals to a wide range of participants—from beginners to experienced fitness enthusiasts.

Through its parent company, Xponential Fitness, Pure Barre is part of a broader network of health and wellness brands that aim to make specialized fitness experiences more accessible in suburban and community-centered settings like Katy.

Inside the Studio: Four Class Formats Designed for Different Goals

Residents who choose to participate will find a variety of class formats designed to meet different fitness needs while maintaining a consistent structure and time commitment.

The studio plans to offer:

  • Pure Barre Classic™, a 50-minute foundational class focused on full-body strength and toning through small, controlled movements
  • Pure Barre Align™, which emphasizes flexibility, balance, and mobility alongside strength-building
  • Pure Barre Empower™, a higher-energy option that incorporates interval training to elevate heart rate and metabolism
  • Pure Barre Define™, which introduces weight-based strength training to build muscle and improve functional movement

Each class is designed to be low-impact, which can be particularly appealing for individuals seeking alternatives to high-impact workouts while still building strength, endurance, and flexibility.

More Than a Workout: The Community Element

While the physical space is still under construction, one of the defining characteristics of Pure Barre studios nationwide is the emphasis on community. Classes are instructor-led and group-based, often creating a consistent environment where participants see familiar faces and build routines together.

That aspect may resonate strongly in neighborhoods like Jordan Ranch, where many residents are looking for ways to stay active while also connecting with others nearby.

Industry data continues to show that group fitness environments can improve consistency and long-term participation, particularly when paired with structured programming and social accountability—factors that have contributed to the growth of boutique fitness concepts across suburban markets.

That momentum is also visible locally, with additional concepts like solidcore planning a Katy location and Ignite Pilates expanding into nearby Fulshear.

What Residents Can Expect Next

With construction expected to wrap by late May 2026, residents may begin to see increased activity at the site in the coming weeks as the interior build-out progresses.

Once open, the studio will add to a growing list of lifestyle and wellness amenities in the Katy and Fort Bend County area—offering another option for residents prioritizing health, routine, and convenience close to home.

For now, the development represents another step in the ongoing evolution of Jordan Ranch and surrounding communities—where everyday essentials, including fitness, continue to move closer to where people live.
