Lytle ISD Class of 2026 Seniors: Local Scholarship Listings and 'Money Mondays' Offer Key Support for College Planning
As graduation approaches for Lytle ISD's Class of 2026, high school seniors and their families are turning their attention to life after high school—and the rising cost of college. In response, the Lytle High School Counseling Department has launched two timely initiatives to help students navigate scholarship applications and postsecondary planning.
A Growing Scholarship List for Class of 2026
The school’s scholarship spreadsheet has been updated with a growing list of local, regional, and national scholarship opportunities tailored for seniors. Students are encouraged to review the listings at the link provided by the counselors and carefully check eligibility before applying:

The online document is regularly updated as new opportunities are received, and includes important information such as deadlines, award amounts, and application requirements—making it a vital tool for any college-bound student.
Money Mondays: Weekly Scholarship & Essay Support
Beginning Monday, February 2, 2026, school counselors will be hosting “Money Mondays” during all lunch periods to help students with scholarship questions, essay feedback, document requests, and more. These sessions are designed to be a low-pressure, drop-in opportunity for seniors to access help without missing valuable classroom instruction.

Held weekly in the counseling center, these sessions are especially useful for students seeking guidance on how to:
- Understand and meet scholarship eligibility requirements
- Draft and refine compelling scholarship essays
- Secure letters of recommendation
- Complete college and financial aid applications
- Access transcripts and other required materials
Counselors urge students to take full advantage of these sessions to avoid last-minute scrambles and missed deadlines. “Money Mondays” will continue each week leading up to the final months of the school year.
Community-Focused Postsecondary Support
By offering this proactive support, the Counseling Department hopes to ease the stress of the scholarship process and help more students in the local community earn the funding they need to pursue college, trade school, or other postsecondary education options. Whether students plan to attend a four-year university, a two-year college, or an accredited vocational program, these scholarships and support services can make a significant difference.
To stay informed, seniors are encouraged to check the scholarship spreadsheet often and visit the counseling office during “Money Mondays” for any assistance.
