
Katy ISD to Hold Regular Board Meeting on February 24, 2025: What to Expect and How to Watch
Katy Independent School District will hold its Regular Board Meeting on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Katy ISD Education Support Complex, located at 6301 South Stadium Lane, Katy, Texas 77494. Community members interested in district matters can attend the meeting in person or watch it remotely via a livestream available on the Katy ISD website.

The meeting will cover a wide range of topics impacting Katy ISD, including:

Recognitions of newly appointed principals at Mayde Creek Elementary and Nottingham Country Elementary.

How to Participate in Public Comment
Residents who wish to speak during the Public Comment session must sign up in advance by sending an email to publicrecords@katyisd.org by 2:00 p.m. on February 24, 2025. The email should include the speaker’s name, discussion topic, mailing address, and whether they reside in Katy ISD or have children enrolled in the district.
Speakers must also sign in at the meeting at least 15 minutes before 5:00 p.m. Those who fail to meet these requirements will not be permitted to speak. Public participation will be conducted per Katy ISD Board Policy BED.
Closed Meeting Topics
Following the public session, the Board will enter a Closed Meeting to discuss matters authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act. Topics include:

Legal consultations regarding district policies and potential litigation.

Employee contract approvals and personnel evaluations.

The Superintendent’s quarterly evaluation.
