Katy ISD Board to Review Budget, Campus Projects, and Security at June 16 Work Study Meeting
The Katy Independent School District Board of Trustees will hold a Work Study Meeting on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Katy ISD Education Support Complex, located at 6301 S. Stadium Lane, Katy, TX 77494. The public may attend in person or watch via livestream on the Katy ISD Board Meeting Videos page.
Agenda Overview
The meeting will open with Pledges of Allegiance led by a Katy ISD police officer, followed by public comment. Individuals wishing to speak must register by 2:00 p.m. on June 16 by emailing publicrecords@katyisd.org, and sign in at least 15 minutes before the meeting begins.
Closed Session Topics
A closed session will be held to address:
- Legal consultation regarding board counsel fees
- Land and property matters under negotiation
- A safety and security update, including a summary of the Texas Education Agency’s Intruder Detection Audit

Upon reconvening, the Board will receive a 2025–2026 budget update and host a public hearing on the district’s federal grant applications for the upcoming school year.

The Board will discuss and consider approvals for:
- April 2025 Financial Reports and June 2025 budget amendments
- Health Plan updates, including pharmacy and stop-loss coverage for 2026
- An Optional Flexible School Day Program for Raines Academy
- Designs for renovations and additions to Beck Junior High
- A contract for new security fencing at multiple elementary campuses
- A landscape easement linked to the new Cross Elementary School (#48)
- A prevailing wage rate schedule update
- A district-wide expansion of the Electronic Content Management system
- Memorandums of Understanding for operating Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Programs (JJAEP) with Harris and Fort Bend Counties
- Designation of T-TESS second appraisers for 2025–2026
- A preview of the proposed employee compensation plan for the next school year
