Final Week to Donate: Crest Management Communities Push to Finish Strong in the 2025 Juice Box Challenge
With the June 30 deadline approaching, residents are encouraged to help Kids’ Meals Houston deliver summer meals to hungry children across Greater Houston.
As the calendar nears June 30, Crest Management communities across Greater Houston, including your neighborhood, are entering the final stretch of the 2025 Summer Juice Box Challenge, a campaign to support Kids’ Meals Houston in feeding children facing food insecurity during the summer months.
Now in its ninth year of participation, Crest Management has once again rallied residents in neighborhoods it serves to collect 100% juice boxes, a critical component of the nutritious lunches Kids’ Meals delivers to preschool-aged children across Harris and Montgomery Counties.
“With just days left in the challenge, now is the time to dig deep and finish strong,” said Pam Hummel, Crest Management community manager and longtime campaign organizer. “We’ve seen firsthand how generous our communities can be—and how big an impact these small juice boxes can have.”

Why Juice Boxes Matter
Summer is a particularly vulnerable time for many families in the Greater Houston area. Without access to free school-based meal programs, children are at increased risk of going without adequate nutrition. Each summer meal delivered by Kids’ Meals includes a sandwich, a healthy snack, and a 100% juice box, which helps complete what may be the child’s only meal that day.
“These juice boxes are more than just a drink—they complete a meal that may be the only one a child receives that day,” Hummel emphasized.
Since its founding in 2006, Kids’ Meals Houston has delivered more than 17 million meals to children across 56 zip codes and now serves over 9,000 meals per day—a number that nearly doubles during the summer months to include older siblings who are also home from school.
A Call to Action for Crest Communities
In 2024, Crest Management was honored as the Large Team Champion, collecting more than 240,000 juice boxes—an incredible achievement that helped feed thousands of children throughout the region. This year, organizers are aiming even higher.
“Our neighborhoods always come through in a big way,” Hummel said. “We’re proud to help connect our residents to a cause that directly impacts children right here in Houston.”
Crest Management residents can drop off 100% juice boxes (no pouches or sugar-added alternatives) at the main office located at 17171 Park Row, Suite 310, Houston, TX 77084. For large donations exceeding 2,000 juice boxes, Kids’ Meals can arrange a pickup with advance notice and volunteer coordination.
Online Donations Welcome
For those unable to deliver in person, online contributions are also accepted via Crest Management’s Juice Box Challenge portal here. Every dollar goes toward helping Kids’ Meals Houston provide consistent, healthy meals to preschoolers in need.
By donating before June 30, 2025, Crest residents have the opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves—directly helping fight childhood hunger in Houston.
