Anniston Community Association Provides Highlights from August 2025 Board

September 23 2025

Editor’s Note: The following correspondence was provided by the Anniston Community Association. It is being shared here for homeowners to ensure residents remain informed about community updates, Board actions, and upcoming neighborhood events.

Dear Anniston Homeowner,

We would like to provide you with a summary of the topics that were discussed during the Board meeting held on August 12, 2025. The purpose of this correspondence is to keep all members of the Association informed of matters brought forward and to inform you of the steps being taken in response. It is the Board’s intent to issue this type of follow-up after each Board meeting so that Homeowners remain fully aware of the progress being made. In the future, these items will also be incorporated into a Q&A page on the community website for ongoing reference.

Lights Along Anniston Lakes Drive

A work order has been created for a vendor who will patrol the community once a month, either in the early morning or evening, to identify streetlights that are not functioning. A report of outages will be provided to Centerpoint Energy to ensure that repairs and bulb replacements are made promptly. This proactive measure will help maintain adequate lighting throughout the community. However, you are encouraged to report any off lights poles to this website. The sooner it is reported, the better.

Community Website

We are happy to announce a partnership with My Neighborhood News which will host an Anniston Community page: myneighborhoodnews.com/anniston

There, you will find very important information like governing documents, community policies, the Association’s welcome packet, ARA form, as well as local resources. We strongly encourage all homeowners to use this website.

For additional information, such as account balance and to make payments on your account, please visit engage.goenumerate.com/s/anniston/index.php

Exterior Modifications / Alterations

Several homeowners inquired about exterior improvements at the meeting. In response, the Association has developed an ARA FAQ series, which will continue to be updated as questions arise. Please click here for ARA-related questions.

Break-Ins

Concerns regarding vehicle break-ins and suspicious activity were raised. Homeowners are reminded that:

  • All suspicious activity must be reported immediately to the Police Department.
  • After contacting the authorities, please notify KRJ Management so that the Association may issue a community-wide notice if appropriate.

Reporting of Maintenance Issues or Violations

Homeowners are encouraged to report common area maintenance needs or potential violations to: smile@krjcares.com or by phone at 713-600-4000. Whenever possible, please include photographs to assist management in evaluating the matter.

Stray Dogs

It was reported that stray dogs have been observed in the community. Residents are asked to report stray, unleashed, or dangerous dogs by calling 311 (713-837-0311), then press option #3). This will connect you with Animal Control for appropriate response.

Association Amenities Renderings

Renderings of the community parks, the community sidewalks, and the community recreation center are now available for review. These visual renderings will provide homeowners with a clear view of the amenities planned for the community. We hope you are as exited as we are about them.

Community Garage Sale

The Board of Directors has authorized a Community-Wide Garage Sale to be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 8 am to 3 pm. This event will provide residents with an excellent opportunity to participate in a neighborhood activity while also decluttering their homes.

The Board of Directors appreciates the continued participation and cooperation of all homeowners. Together, we are building a safe, attractive, and welcoming community. Should you have any questions regarding the items above, please contact KRJ Management at your convenience.

Sincerely,

Board of Directors
