Make a Difference in 2026: Volunteer with Southwest ISD and Support Students in Preserve at Medina River

December 19 2025

This new year, many Preserve at Medina River residents are seeking ways to give back and stay more engaged. Volunteering with Southwest ISD is a straightforward way to make an impact in 2026. The district’s online volunteer portal makes the process accessible for those who want to support local schools.

Volunteering has well-documented benefits. Research published by Harvard Medical School shows that people who volunteer experience lower stress levels and feel more purposeful in their daily lives. Meanwhile, studies from the American Psychological Association show that young people thrive when caring adults invest time in their education and development.

Southwest ISD uses an online application process that guides volunteers step-by-step through account creation, background checks, and placement. Details can be found at southwestisd.teams.hosting/volunteer/EntryPointHomeAction.do

The district welcomes volunteers for tutoring, mentoring, campus support, and event assistance. Even a small time commitment can help students feel encouraged and connected to their community.

Volunteering with Southwest ISD is a powerful way to start 2026 with purpose. By serving local youth, you are strengthening the future of Preserve at Medina River and helping students succeed.
