Katy ISD Seeks Community Feedback on Instructional Materials for 2025-2026 School Year
Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) is inviting parents and community members to participate in the review of instructional materials proposed for use in the 2025-2026 academic year. This initiative reflects the district's commitment to fostering collaboration and transparency with families and stakeholders.
The materials will be available for review at the Katy ISD Education Support Complex, located at 6301 S. Stadium Lane, Katy, TX 77494. Community members can examine the proposed materials from January 21 to January 31, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. For added convenience, extended hours will be offered on January 21 and January 27, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The instructional resources under consideration span a variety of subjects, including Advanced Placement Biology, French I through III KAP, German I and II, and specialized courses such as Civil Engineering and Architecture, Practicum in Manufacturing, Practicum in Computer Technician, and Practicum in Cybersecurity. Additional subjects include Marketing in America, Reading Elective, and Strategic Learning for Literacy.

Nick Petito, the director of internal and community relations for Katy ISD, emphasized the importance of community engagement in this process, stating, “Parents and guardians are invited to review and share their thoughts on instructional materials prior to adoption each year in a variety of content areas.” This annual review process enables the district to ensure that educational resources align with the community's expectations and the district's educational standards.
