Katy Christian Ministries to Host Wranglers and Rhinestones Gala

Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) is gearing up to host their 19th Annual Gala “Wranglers & Rhinestones”, set to take place on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Safari Texas Ranch.

Since 1984, Katy Christian Ministries has remained committed to empowering families in the caring Katy community. Over their many years of service to Katy, KCM has expanded their support services to include a Food Pantry and Community Gardens that aim to address food insecurity, and providing basic necessities like clothing, furniture, and household items through vouchers through their Resale Stores. KCM also provides a wide array of services that strive to alleviate poverty and prevent homelessness and evictions through their Social Services Department, as well as providing crisis intervention and counseling for victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse through their Crisis Center.

Katy Christian Ministries’ Impact in 2022 at a Glance

3,137 victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse received help through the KCM Crisis Center.
15,927 households received help for basic needs for housing stability through KCM Social Services.
54,871 hours were served by 3,518 volunteers at KCM.
1,658,280 lbs. of food were distributed to families in need by the KCM Food Pantry.

The Gala allows Katy Christian Ministries to continue their meaningful and necessary work in the Katy area. This year, KCM's fundraising goal is $135,000 and there are many ways to participate. On the night of the Gala, guests will enjoy a delicious steak dinner, listen to the sweet sounds of The Earl Sanders Jr. Band, dance, participate in a live and silent auction, and more. Supporters also have the opportunity to purchase Golden Tickets, with a choice from three destinations including a four-night, all-inclusive stay in Cabo. Only 100 Golden Tickets are available for sale. Live auction items include trips, four course meal at Pearl and Vine, and even a polyurea full chip concrete coating service.
