FOR ELECTION TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
If you are a Member of the Lakes at Northpointe Homeowners Association, Inc. (i.e., your name is on the Deed to the property), or if you are the spouse of a Member of the Association, and you would like to run for a position on the Board of Directors for the Association, please complete the Candidate Information Form (“Form”) and return it to the Association via:

Unless otherwise disqualified by law, your name will be placed on the ballot if you are a Member of the Association or the spouse of a Member and you submit the Form. The Board is being expanded from three (3) positions to five (5) positions in this year’s election. Accordingly, there will be three (3) positions on the Board of Directors up for election in the 2023 election, one position for a three (3) year term, one position for a two (2) year term, and one position for a one (1) year term. The candidates receiving the most votes will serve the longer terms.
You must submit the Form so that it is physically received by the Association on or before October 6, 2023, to have your named placed on the ballot.
A candidate who is interested in running for a position on the Board must be available to attend Board meetings, plus allow additional hours each week for Association projects, working on owner/resident issues, reading and answering emails, attending training sessions, plus serving in an appointed capacity such as an officer on the Board or a liaison to an Association committee.
If you choose to respond to the questions on the Form, your responses [not including your e-mail address and phone number] may be distributed to the Members of the Association along with the 2023 Annual Meeting materials.

Please note that the Texas Property Code (“Code”) disqualifies a person from serving on the Board of Directors for a property owners association if the person has been convicted of a felony or crime involving moral turpitude in the past twenty years. In addition, the Code prohibits two persons who live at the same residence from serving on the Board of Directors at the same time.
