Description

On June 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., teens can take part in a free, hands-on Community CPR, AED, and Choking Rescue Training at the Barbara Bush Branch Library. Hosted in partnership with Ally Medical, this two-hour class offers critical life-saving knowledge in a supportive, youth-focused environment.

Ally Medical, known for its advanced emergency care centers throughout Texas, is committed to empowering communities through education. Their expert-led training provides foundational knowledge for teens interested in emergency response, healthcare careers, or simply being prepared for real-world emergencies.

Training highlights include:
  • Step-by-step instruction on performing chest compressions
  • How to safely use an AED device
  • Effective choking rescue techniques
  • Practice with adult and infant CPR mannequins
  • Opportunities for hands-on skills development

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing for active participation. Beverages, light snacks, pizza, and drinks will be provided—first come, first served.

This event is open to the public but limited to teens aged 14 to 19. Don't miss this chance to learn CPR and first aid for teens, gain confidence in emergency situations, and take an important step toward becoming a life-saver.
