Woodard ES, Better Half Realty Establish Adopt-a-School Partnership
Representatives from Better Half Realty visited the staff at Woodard Elementary School on Jan. 31 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.
CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.
Jantavia Connor Powell, first-time buyer and seller specialist for Better Half Realty, expressed her excitement to partner with Woodard.
“I was raised in a close community and my parents chaperoned field trips, rode the band bus, coached our teams and were very active with me and my brother in school,” said Powell. “Having that same presence and supporting not only my local school but the school that my children attend is important to me and my husband, Markeith. We instantly became ‘Woodard Wolfpack Family’ when we enrolled our children two years ago and we are extremely excited to make it official and continue our support of our community and Woodard’s amazing staff, teachers and students. We thank Woodard for what they do and thank them for accepting our family!”
Susan Brenz, Woodard principal, shared her gratitude to Better Half Realty for committing to help support the school.
“It is an honor to partner with Better Half Realty,” Brenz said. “For an outside business and realty group to invest in the school and community is a bonus. This will extend the home and family partnerships that we value so very much at Woodard as we create a community that is #WOLFPACKSTRONG and #ALLONEFAMILY.
