Katy United Volleyball Sets Sights on $2.8 Million Expansion to Serve More Fort Bend Volleyball Athletes
A major construction project is on the horizon in Fort Bend County as Katy United Volleyball embarks on a $2.8 million expansion of its current sports facility at 25707 Field House Road. The new addition, scheduled to break ground in early August 2025, will bring an extra 13,950 square feet to the already well-known complex—paving the way for more local student-athletes to train, compete, and grow within the sport.
A Vision Rooted in Excellence and Faith
The expansion is more than a construction project—it’s the next chapter in Katy United's mission to nurture both skill and spirit in its athletes. Known for its top-tier club volleyball programs for girls ages 11–18, Katy United places strong emphasis on developing the "whole athlete." This includes not only rigorous athletic training, but also mentorship based on Judeo-Christian values and personal character development.
“Our mission is to cultivate an atmosphere of excellence and passion as we train our athletes to compete and succeed at the highest national levels,” the organization shares. “We strive to develop the whole athlete (mind, body, and spirit) through teaching high values, good morals, and faith.”

Growing from Grassroots to Regional Powerhouse
Katy United began in the 2013–2014 season as FO1 Volleyball with just 10 teams. Rapid growth followed, including the integration of its developmental Starlights program. Eventually, it transitioned into what is now Katy United Volleyball—a recognized powerhouse within USA Volleyball and the Lone Star Region.
In 2024, the formation of United Sports Academy—a registered 501(c)(3)—solidified the organization’s commitment to expanding both Katy United and its sister program, The Woodlands United Volleyball. Donations to United Sports Academy are tax-deductible, supporting athlete development and facility improvements like this latest project.
What the New Expansion Means
The 13,950 square foot addition will allow Katy United to accommodate more teams and provide additional training space, meeting the increasing demand for competitive volleyball in the Katy and Fort Bend area. Club volleyball, which requires tryouts and skill-based team placement, offers players a more focused and competitive training environment than recreational leagues.
Beyond training, Katy United offers players access to experienced coaches—many with competitive playing backgrounds—who are certified by USAV, IMPACT, and SafeSport. The club also provides recruiting support, including individual Hudl accounts and a full-time recruiting coordinator.

Community-Centered, Athlete-Focused
With club fees covering equipment, tournaments, and coaching, and flexible installment plans running from August to May, the organization makes an effort to balance professionalism with accessibility. A sibling discount is also available for families with multiple athletes participating in the club program, though it does not apply to developmental programs like Starlights and The U.
This expansion is more than a physical growth—it's a reflection of the values, vision, and community spirit that have powered Katy United from a small startup club to one of the region’s premier youth volleyball organizations.
