Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office and Expose Excellence Youth Program to Host Youth Law Enforcement Academy This Summer

Expose Excellence Youth Program and the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office is hosting a 4-day Youth Law Enforcement Academy this summer for high school students interested in pursuing careers in law enforcement, public service, and criminal justice. The program is free for all participants, and includes daily breakfast and lunch.

There will be two sessions this summer to allow more students to attend the camp, with the first session taking place June 12-15 and second session July 17-20. Both sessions will take place at the Gus George Academy, located at 1521 Eugene Heimann Circle in Richmond.

Application Requirements
  • Must be in 14-17 years old
  • Must have NO prior offenses
  • Must be a currently enrolled student in school
  • Must be a Fort Bend County resident
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to attend all four days
  • Must submit application virtually to be considered in selection process

About Expose Excellence Youth Program

The Expose Excellence Youth Program strives to establish and support communication with youth school administration, churches, and local community leaders to promote school attendance and a positive outlook on the importance of education. Expose Excellence assists in advocating for the youth by accessing educational resources and overcoming barriers to educational opportunities. The intention of the Expose Excellence Youth Outreach Program is to ensure that youth have the skills, knowledge, and support needed to encourage self-efficacy. 

The target group of The Expose Excellence Youth Program is all students, boys and girls, between the ages of 10-17 who attend any of the schools located in the Fort Bend County. Student’s school counselors, churches, community organizations, or legal guardians can refer them to the program. Any student who identifies with the program and shows interest can participate as well.
