Polar Bear Plunge 2026 at Morris Memorial Pool in Elgin

The Polar Bear Plunge 2026 at Morris Memorial Pool in Elgin is a New Year’s rite of passage where brave souls—kids, teens and adults—line up to leap into chilly water while friends and family cheer from the sidelines.

After each splash, everyone warms back up with hot cocoa, coffee and plenty of laughs, making it more about memories than mileage.

• Date & time: Saturday, January 3, 2026, 10:00 am–12:00 pm, with jumps around 10:30 am and 11:15 am.
• Location: Morris Memorial Pool, 802 N Ave C, Elgin, TX 78621.
• Admission: Free, all ages welcome (swimsuit required to plunge).
• Activities: Two group jumps, photo booth, complimentary hot cocoa and coffee.
• Parking: Parking available at Morris Memorial Park and surrounding streets.
