Brunch in Austin is more than a weekend ritual — it’s part of the city’s identity. And on April 4, 2026, that culture takes center stage as the Bloody Mary Festival in Austin, TX returns to Fair Market at 1100 E 5th Street, Austin, TX 78702 for a full day of curated cocktails, local flavors, and community connection.
Now in its 12th year, The Bloody Mary Festival is the largest event of its kind in the country, bringing together the best Bloody Marys crafted by top Austin bars, restaurants, and mix makers. But it’s not just about the cocktails.
This year’s Austin event will also benefit Girls Empowerment Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting girls through leadership development and empowerment programming — adding a meaningful local impact to the celebration.
What Makes the Austin Bloody Mary Festival Unique?
Each participating bar, restaurant, or craft mix brand competes for bragging rights in front of Austin’s most devoted brunch enthusiasts. The experience also includes:
- Curated Bloody Mary tastings from Austin establishments
- Food and drink samples from local companies
- One vote for the People’s Choice Award
- Photo opportunities and themed activations
- Temporary tattoos and interactive elements
- A panel of expert judges
- The Festival’s signature dancing tomato
For many Austinites, it’s the ultimate spring social event — part food festival, part cocktail competition, and part neighborhood gathering.
While Austin is one of six host cities — alongside Portland, Denver, New York City, Milwaukee, and the Twin Cities — the event takes on a distinctly local character in each market. In Austin, that means bold flavors, Texas spirits, and a strong showing from homegrown brands.

Benefiting Girls Empowerment Network
Proceeds from the Austin Bloody Mary Festival will support Girls Empowerment Network, a Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1996 by twelve Austin mothers concerned about declining self-esteem among adolescent girls. Inspired by Reviving Ophelia by Dr. Mary Pipher, the organization was created to address issues such as depression, eating disorders, low academic achievement, and other challenges facing young girls.
Nearly 30 years later, Girls Empowerment Network serves girls in 3rd through 12th grade across Central Texas, Houston, and Dallas, focusing on building self-efficacy — a girl’s belief in her ability to succeed. Through research-based curriculum and mentorship, the organization equips girls with the confidence, leadership skills, and resilience to thrive.
Its mission is simple and powerful: to ignite the power in girls by teaching them the skills to believe in their ability to be unstoppable.
