Understanding Your Credit Reports

Have you seen your FREE personal credit reports? How do you know someone else isn’t using your good name? Join a HUD certified reverse mortgage counselor from the Credit Coalition and learn about the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act) that was signed into law in December 2003. It allows consumers to get one free comprehensive disclosure of all of the information in their credit file from each of the three national credit reporting and specialty reporting companies once every 12 months. These free reports can be ordered by internet, phone, or mail. Copies of the annualcreditreport.com request form will be available.
