Mayor Sylvester Turner invites you to the Black Heritage Society’s 45th MLK Jr. Parade, in partnership with the City of Houston, on Monday, January 16, 2023, beginning at 10 a.m.
The MLK 2023 theme is “Climbing the Mountain to a Better Future.” The Black Heritage Society has selected Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner to serve as Grand Marshal this year. The Co-Grand Marshals are Rev. Dr. Derek King, nephew of Dr. MLK Jr., Dr. Camille Cash, Houston Plastic Surgeon, and a Memorial Tribute to the Late John Bland!
