Description
On May 29 from 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM, the Fulshear Branch Library will host a Disaster Preparedness Presentation in collaboration with Sewa International – Houston AmeriCorps, Fort Bend County Libraries, and Fort Bend County Health and Human Services. This free, two-part workshop equips families with the tools and knowledge they need to prepare for emergencies of all kinds.
Event Highlights:
-
Kid’s Presentation (30–45 minutes): Designed for ages 6–11, this interactive session helps children understand natural disasters and how they can assist their families. Participants receive Super Sewa Team stickers, a sack bag, activity pack, emergency contact cards, and coloring sheets.
-
Adult Presentation (1–1.5 hours): Covers how to respond to hurricanes, floods, winter storms, heat waves, and pandemics. Adults will receive a disaster prep cheat sheet, document-safe bag, stress balls, and a certificate of completion.
Registration is required here and runs from April 29 to May 29. Secure your spot today and get your family ready to respond with confidence.
