Description
As Gertrude Stein famously stated, "A rose, is a rose, is a rose..." but is that the entire story? Is there more to discover? There certainly is! This presentation will reveal fascinating details about the lives of painters who depicted still life images, their techniques, and some surprising information about the floral works from the Museum's collections. The images of flowers will be traced from antiquity through modern times by examining wearable art, paintings, and textiles.
