Register now for a free Saturday, Jan. 11, class about "Edible Garden Planning" presented by Fort Bend County Master Gardeners as part of their Grow Your Own program. The 90-minute class will begin at 9 a.m. at the Bud O’Shieles Community Center located at 1330 Band Road, Rosenberg. Register here.
Learn about site selection, setting up garden beds, container gardening and planning for vegetables, fruit trees and other edibles along with soil fertility and soil testing. The scheduled presenters are Peggy d'Hemecourt and Dan Lawlor. d'Hemecourt of Richmond has been a Master Gardener since 2003. Lawlor of Sugar Land has been a Master Gardener since 2000. Grow Your Own is a seven-class program offered by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and Fort Bend County Master Gardeners.
