Cypress-Tomball Democrats Monthly Meeting

The Cypress-Tomball Democrats will hold its next monthly meeting, Monday, February 20, 2023 at Rudy’s Grill and Cantina, located at 11790 Grant Rd, Cypress, TX 77429. Our speakers will be Eve Myers, Kris Schweighardt and Lauren Dougherty – Moms standing up for public education!

Eve Myers is a former teacher and a consultant to educational publishers, with over 35 years experience with public education. She volunteered in both Klein and Tomball ISDs when her sons were in school, and as a VDVR still registers high school students to vote.

Kris Schweighardt has volunteered countless hours in CyFair ISD schools, serving as grade level chair and leading committees. After extremist board members were elected in the 2021 CyFair school board election, Kris became active in organizations supporting CFISD and has taken a leadership role opposing book bans. 

Lauren Dougherty is a Klein ISD alumna and dedicated volunteer who is active in the Brill PTO, the Klein Leadership Coalition, and many other community organizations. She was on the steering committee for the Klein 2022 bond and received the 2022 Heroes for Texas Children award from the Texas State Board of Education. 

All are welcome to attend and to join this growing club, which meets on the third Monday of every month.
