Our speaker will be State Representative – Ron Reynolds – Dr MLK Jr. inspired - Our progress, current issues with hate and hope for the future.

Ron Reynolds was sworn in on January 10, 2011 as Texas State Representative of House District 27. He is currently serving his fifth term in the Texas House and is the first African American State Representative in Fort Bend County since Reconstruction. Ron is currently Chairman of the Texas Legislative Black Caucus, and serves on the House Committee Environmental Regulation, and Defense and Veterans' Affairs Committee. He is also the Ranking Member of the Environmental Regulations Committee.

Ron is a former Associate Municipal Judge, Adjunct Professor and President of the NAACP Missouri City & Ft. Bend Vicinity Branch. He attended Texas Southern University and received a B.S. degree in Public Affairs, “magna cum laude” and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law. He is a devout Christian and proudly married to Dr. Jonita Reynolds and is a proud father of three wonderful children.
