
Creative Connections: Recycled Art

As part of Fort Bend County Libraries’ Summer Reading Challenge, Cinco Ranch Branch Library will host a free recycled art workshop for students entering grades 4–8. The program will take place on June 26, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, in the library’s Meeting Room.
Led by Charles Washington, a teaching artist with Young Audiences of Houston, this hands-on workshop encourages students to use recycled materials to create unique works of art.

Charles Washington is a noted environmental and mixed-media artist, drawing inspiration from African pastoral life, American jazz, and free-form design.
Registration is required and opens on June 19 at 3:00 PM. Space is limited. This free art class for tweens is made possible by the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library.
