Hidden Beauty in the Ordinary Exhibit at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts

“Hidden Beauty in the Ordinary,” will be featured at the Pearl Fincher Museum this spring, with a dozen works by artist Lindy Chambers.

Spring exhibitions at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts open Saturday, February 4 and continue through May 13, 2023.

“Hidden Beauty in the Ordinary,” will be featured in the Cole Gallery, with a dozen works by artist Lindy Chambers. Chambers paints rural scenes of life in the Texas countryside where she lives. By simply paying attention, she observes often overlooked aspects of life to discover beauty in mobile homes, stray dogs, and piles of trash.

Her paintings are vibrant compositions of color that never use the same hue twice. Her insistence on variety furthers the idea that everything contains its own unique beauty, if you only stop to notice.
