After a year of heartbreak and hope, Proud Pie has brought back one of its most loved traditions—Pie Bingo—this time hosted at the iconic Dozier’s BBQ and Meat Market at 8222 FM 359. Every Tuesday at 7:00 PM, the dining room fills with neighbors, families, and pie fans eager to play eight lively rounds of bingo, each one offering a chance to win one of Proud Pie’s famous whole pies or a delicious pie slice.
But this is more than just a game—it’s a celebration of community resilience, shared joy, and the kind of small-town charm that’s been keeping hearts—and stomaches—full in Fulshear for decades.
A Community Event Served with Smoked Meats and Sweet Rewards
Proud Pie’s Scott Chapman, the owner of Proud Pie and the heart behind the event, couldn’t be more thrilled to bring Pie Bingo back. “Dozier's in Fulshear has graciously allowed me to host Pie Bingo during the summertime at their restaurant,” he shared, reflecting on the generosity that helped revive the tradition. “Our first Pie Bingo was incredible!”
The event runs about an hour and a half, with a break between games four and five—just enough time to grab another round of Dozier’s legendary barbecue. Guests are encouraged to come early for dinner, grab a seat, and settle in for an evening of fun. The pies up for grabs? So far, lucky winners have taken home Key Lime, Twix Chocolate Silk, Chris Stapleton Pecan, and Peach Crumble pies—each lovingly crafted and bursting with nostalgia.

A Revival Baked with Love
This revival comes after what was arguably Proud Pie’s toughest chapter. The Katy-based shop permanently closed its doors last summer after nine years of baking from the heart. Financial struggles—including rising costs and slowing summer sales—forced a tearful farewell in July 2024.
Yet even in its darkest hour, Proud Pie never lost its spark. The Katy Pie Run is just one of the many ways Proud Pie continues to pour back into the community—channeling their signature blend of heart, flavor, and purpose into events that uplift causes far beyond the kitchen. And shortly after closing, Proud Pie announced a new partnership with Dish Society, bringing their beloved pies back into production. Pastry chef Michelle, a backbone of the bakery, trained Dish Society’s culinary team last year to carry on the Proud Pie legacy.
Now, through Pie Bingo, that legacy is reaching new tables—and new hearts.
