A New Frontier: Proud Pie Announces Partnership with Dish Society
Beloved pie maker Proud Pie, known to many in Katy for mouthwatering pastries and community-centered events, has announced a new partnership with Dish Society, a restaurant with roots in Austin and Houston that's dedicated to farm-to-table meals. The partnership comes as a welcome surprise for the community who faced the unwelcome news of Proud Pie's shop closure earlier this month.
In a statement given by Proud Pie, they announced, "We have signed an incredible partnership deal with, are you ready? Dish Society! Trent and Aaron from Dish Society contacted me about keeping the Proud Pie name alive and with their help, we are gonna be able to do just that." The announcement reveals their plans to revive their famed pies, starting with their State Fair Caramel Apple and Key Lime pies in the Katy location of Dish Society located in LaCenterra.
Proud Pie's mission to use fresh, real ingredients in their pies seems to align perfectly with Dish Society's commitment to deliver the best in southern-sourced cuisine. Proud Pie ownership shared, "My pastry chef, Michelle, [has] been hired by them. She's been busy training chefs from their culinary department to bake pies the Proud Pie way. Our plan is to start small and slowly so we can focus on attention to detail and getting it right."
