The Katy Police Department is bringing neighbors, families, local businesses and first responders together for National Night Out 2026, one of the city’s largest annual community events. The free celebration will take place Tuesday, October 6, at Katy City Park.
Designed to strengthen police-community partnerships, National Night Out gives residents an informal opportunity to meet the officers who serve Katy, learn helpful safety information and connect with local organizations. The evening will also offer plenty of food, entertainment and activities for children and adults.

Families can enjoy a full evening of complimentary activities and refreshments, including:

- Public safety information and resources
Attendees will also have opportunities to meet Katy Police Department officers, the Special Response Team, motor officers, Officer Hopps and K-9 officers Sky and Mac.
National Night Out emphasizes the relationships built outside emergency situations—connections that can improve communication, strengthen trust and help create a safer, more engaged community. Katy residents are encouraged to bring their children, invite their neighbors and spend the evening getting to know the people and organizations serving their city.
