George Bush Park

With over 7,800 acres of recreational space, this massive park offers soccer fields, a nationally recognized dog park, playgrounds, public restrooms, fishing, and more. John Paul Landing Park

This 865-acre facility is located at 24202 West Road, Cypress, TX 77433. Open from 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM daily, the park features a 176-acre lake that serves as a major flood detention facility for the area and accommodates terrestrial and aquatic wildlife, plus 6.9 miles of walking trails, a playground, pavilion with large BBQ pit, pubic restrooms, and more. Park is open from 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM daily. The nearby John Paul Landing Environmental Education Center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 9950 Katy Hockley Road. Katy Park

With 100 acres and 0.75 miles of trails, this park is located at 24927 Morton Road, Katy, TX 77493. Equipped with 15 baseball diamonds, concession stands, batting cages, soccer fields, picnic tables, a gazebo and a pavilion, this park is ideal for outdoor sports. Mary Jo Peckham Park

Located at 5597 Gardenia Lane, Katy, TX 77493, this 32-acre park features a putting green, a miniature golf course, a playground, a large pavilion, a gazebo, fishing lake, a six-hole disc golf course, and more. Mason Creek North Hike & Bike Trail

Covering 3.04 miles of trails over 98 acres of natural space, this trail system is located at 2500 Porter Rd, Katy, TX 77493. With several benches along the trails, there is also a playground and exercise station. For more information about this trail, visit the trail website.

Mason Creek South Hike & Bike Trail

With 7.7 miles of trails hugging Mason Creek, this trail system is located at 2500 Porter Rd, Katy, TX 77493. Several bridges and under crossings accent this trail, in addition to water fountains and benches. The trail is open from 7:00 AM until dusk daily. Mason Road Park

Located at 3418 North Mason Road, Katy, TX 77449, this park covers 6 acres and contains 1.6 miles of trails. The park is equipped with an arboretum, picnic tables with barbecue pits, a gazebo and benches along the trail. It is open from 7:00 AM until dusk daily. Mayde Creek Hike & Bike Trail

With 3.25 miles of trails and contains benches, workout stations, and pocket parks, this trail is located along North Mayde Creek and South Mayde Creek at Morton Road and Greenhouse Road. Both equipped with playgrounds and picnic tables, the North Mayde Creek Pocket Park is located at 18907 1/2 Morton Rd, Houston, TX 77084 and the South Mayde Creek Pocket Park is located at 2650 1/2 Greenhouse Rd, Katy, TX 77449. Freedom Park

Covering 1,961 acres on the edge of George Bush Park, this park contains 4 baseball fields (reservations required to play), batting cages, 3 soccer fields, concession stand, public restrooms, playground, and walking trail. It is also home of the Armed Forces Memorial Tower. The park is located at 18050 Westheimer Pkwy, Houston, TX 77094 and is open from 6:30 AM until 9:00 PM daily. Jones Creek Ranch Park

This beautiful 112-acre ranch is located just a few miles from Houston, TX in Richmond. This park is available for rent to host your company picnic, corporate event, retreat, school outing, reunion, wedding or other special occasion. Activities include playgrounds, softball (2 fields), basketball courts, volleyball, horseshoes, and a swimming pool. The park is open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM daily. City of Katy Parks

Katy Dog Park

Opened in March 2007, this off-leash park for canines of all sizes and is open every day from dawn to dusk and is one of the city’s most popular attractions. Located at 5414 Franz, Katy TX, 77493, the 7-acre park offers lots of grass and trees with a third of a mile-long walking path, a wading pool for dogs, custom dog showers, and fountains accessible for both the four-legged friend and their owners. Located on the west side of the park is an agility course. This course was designed for dogs to train or exercise along with their owners with ease. The park is divided into two parts for small and large breed dogs and has public restrooms.

Harvest Plaza

In the heart of downtown Historic Katy, Harvest Plaza pays tribute to Katy’s beginnings as a rice-farming community. Located at 5701 Third Street, Katy, TX 77493, the beautifully landscaped plaza offers a shade structure with night lighting, benches, a water feature, commemorative brick paving, and a large greenspace for recreation or relaxation.

Katy City Park

Sport Fields

This sports facility is home to lighted baseball fields, softball fields, and a soccer/multipurpose field, a covered three-court basketball pavilion, six ADA accessible tennis courts, and picnic tables for year-round use. Katy Play Station and Outdoor Pavilion

The state’s largest innovative playground for multiple-impaired and profoundly deaf children is also located within Katy City Park. Located at 5611 Gardenia Lane, Katy, TX 77493, the all-inclusive 13,000 square foot playground, custom-designed as a tribute to Katy’s namesake the MKT Rail line. This play facility is a one-of-a-kind attraction for both able and disabled bodied children and has quickly become a destination within the community for family fun recreation. Katy Play Station was featured in Today’s Playground Magazine and has received several awards for its design and contribution to the Katy community.

Katy Arboretum

The Katy Arboretum Building is closed until further notice.

The Katy Arboretum was developed as a joint venture with the City of Katy, CenterPoint Energy, and Keep Katy Beautiful. The three-acre park, located at 2046 Katy City Park Road, Katy, TX 77493, was designed as an educational green space to promote CenterPoint Energy's Right Tree Right Place initiative. The Arboretum features various species of trees with educational plaques and is a popular location for families, scout groups, and tourists. Inside the park is The Arboretum Building that can be rented for parties, baby and bridal showers, and other events. The park features a play structure, outdoor BBQ grill, patio with picnic-style seating, and a tranquil walking path.

Arboretum Pavilion
There are two pavilion spaces at the Arboretum. One is equipped with a barbeque put and picnic table and the other is a larger space with two tables and plenty of space for your own tables or chairs. Katy Heritage Park

Established in 2003 as a joint project with the City of Katy and the Katy Heritage Society, Heritage Park is best known for its restored historic buildings, beautiful landscaping, the Tradition Bank bandstand gazebo and brick paved patio. MKT Railroad Depot and Park

This historic train station with life-sized exhibits and a quaint, red caboose car on-display provides an eye-catching landmark for historic downtown Katy. Located at 5615 1st St, Katy, TX 77493, this park is currently serving as a museum and visitor center for the city. We recommend new-comers and history seekers alike to start their exploration of the city here.

Thomas Park

A small, historic facility located at the edge of Historic Downtown Katy, Thomas Park is the location of the Tri-County marker where the borders of Harris, Waller and Fort Bend Counties intersect. Thomas Park, located at 5919 Fourth Street, Katy, TX 77493, attracts visitors to its tranquil environment, paved walking path, benches, playground, and gazebo. Town Park

Located at Town Park Boulevard and Katy Hockley Cut-off. The large, open green space at this park provides a beautiful walking scape along the 2/3 mile trail.

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Park

Centrally located within the City of Katy, this wooded park offers an exciting children’s playground, with a large pyramid rope climber, two picnic pavilions with tables, a walking path, and public restrooms. Located at 6202 George Bush Drive, Katy, TX 77493, this park is the location for the bi-annual Community Campouts and Katy Summer Nights series.

VFW Park's large outdoor pavilion (30′ x 60′) is equipped with permanent concrete tables and benches, seats approximately 96, nearby restroom access, and is available for rentals. Woodsland Park

True to its name, Woodsland Park is a heavily wooded 7-acre park with amenities that cater to individuals and groups looking for a park with a more secluded atmosphere. Located at 443 Danover Road, Katy, TX 77494, the park features a covered basketball court, picnic tables, playground, an outdoor pavilion with a large barbecue pit, and a community center.

Outdoor Pavilion

Community Center
Great for for weddings, parties or other related events. The Community Center is 1,333 square feet (31′ x 43′) and is equipped with a full kitchen, indoor restrooms, and approximately 15, 6-foot rectangular tables, and 60 folding chairs. Maximum occupancy is 100.
