LSC-CyFair's Dark Comedy "Bright Ideas"Coming February 23
Lone Star College-CyFair’s "Season of Shakespeare" continues this spring with a comedy loosely based on "Macbeth" that asks, how far would you go for your child?
Gen and Josh Bradley only want the best for their 3-year-old son Mac, who is next on the waiting list to get into the prestigious Bright Ideas Early Childhood Development Academy. The couple is only one fatal dinner party away from parental success – the right pre-school – which everyone knows once in, life will unfold with glorious ease.
Audiences may never look at pre-school or pesto the same after attending this hilariously dark comedy adaptation of the Scottish play “Bright Ideas.”
Performances, which are for mature audiences only, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and at 3 p.m. Saturdays Feb. 23-25 and March 2-4 in the Black Box Theatre located in the Center for the Arts (Building 1) at 9191 Barker Cypress.
Be sure to also save the dates April 13-15 and April 20-22 for more hilarity with mistaken identities, vows of love and hijinks of loss and unrequited love seen in “Illyria” - a musical re-telling of the one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies “Twelfth Night.”
