A Brazilian Couple’s Vision for Authentic Flavor
Founded by Brazilian couple Verena and Misael Miranda, Açaí Brasil was born from their desire to recreate the “true taste” of açaí bowls from their home country—something they couldn’t find when they first moved to Houston. “We are a local business owned by a Brazilian couple deeply passionate for açaí,” the Mirandas have shared. “We couldn’t find in Houston an authentic açaí bowl so we decided to start a business where we would hand craft our bowls to perfection on texture and taste.”
Açaí: The Superfruit with a Sweet Twist
Açaí berries, native to Brazil and parts of Central and South America, are prized for their deep purple color, rich flavor, and nutritional benefits. Low in sugar and high in antioxidants, fiber, calcium, and beneficial fatty acids, açaí is blended at Açaí Brasil with guaraná extract—another Brazilian fruit known for its natural energy boost—and topped with fresh fruit, granola, nut butters, and other wholesome additions. “The secret ingredient is just pure açaí, hard work and love for what we do,” the Mirandas have said.
