Kiddie Academy Bringing New Early Education Center to Jordan Ranch Area in Fulshear
As families continue moving into Jordan Ranch, The Bend, and surrounding Fulshear and Katy-area communities, another piece of the area’s growing family infrastructure is officially on the way.
Plans have been filed for a new Kiddie Academy educational child care center at 30827 Jordan Crossing Blvd. in Fulshear, near the rapidly developing Jordan Ranch area. According to the filings, the project is expected to begin construction in November 2026 and wrap up by May 2027.
The new facility represents a $3.675 million investment into early childhood education in Fort Bend County and reflects the continued demand for quality preschool and child care options as more young families settle along the Katy-Fulshear growth corridor.
According to project filings, the new Kiddie Academy will include a 10,500-square-foot, one-story steel-framed building along with related site work.
Supporting a Fast-Growing Family Community in Fulshear
For many families in Jordan Ranch, Cross Creek Ranch, Tamarron, and nearby Katy-area neighborhoods, access to reliable early childhood education has become an increasingly important part of daily life as the region continues to expand.
The addition of a new Kiddie Academy location near Jordan Crossing Boulevard could help address growing demand for structured preschool programs, educational daycare, and child care services close to home.
Rather than positioning itself strictly as traditional daycare, Kiddie Academy has built its brand around education-focused child care. The company’s proprietary Life Essentials® curriculum emphasizes six developmental areas: character, confidence, curiosity, connection, critical thinking, and creative expression.
The curriculum is designed to support a variety of learning styles while helping children build developmental and social skills during their earliest years.
For parents balancing long commutes, hybrid work schedules, or growing family needs, proximity to educational child care often becomes a major factor when choosing where to live and work. In communities like Jordan Ranch and The Bend, projects like this can play an important role in supporting the broader family-oriented identity the area has developed in recent years.
A National Brand With Family-Owned Roots
Founded in 1981 by George and Pauline Miller in Baltimore County, Maryland, Kiddie Academy began with a vision of combining nurturing care with structured learning opportunities for young children.
More than four decades later, the company has expanded to hundreds of locations across the country while remaining family-owned and operated.
Throughout its history, Kiddie Academy has continued evolving its educational programming to reflect changing approaches to childhood development and parent expectations. Over the years, the company introduced infant and toddler education programs, summer learning initiatives, curriculum advisory boards, health and wellness integration, and digital parent communication tools.
In 2008, Kiddie Academy formally introduced its Life Essentials® curriculum, which incorporates early STEM learning, social development, health education, and creative exploration into age-appropriate classroom experiences.
The company celebrated the opening of its 300th location in 2022 and continues expanding into fast-growing suburban communities nationwide, particularly in areas seeing strong residential development and an influx of young families.
What Happens Next
Construction on the new Kiddie Academy near Jordan Ranch is currently scheduled to begin Nov. 2, 2026, with completion projected for May 3, 2027, according to state filings.
Once complete, the facility is expected to add another early education option for families living in the western Fort Bend County and greater Katy-Fulshear area, where continued residential growth has fueled demand for schools, retail, restaurants, health care, and child-focused services.
As Jordan Ranch and surrounding communities continue evolving, projects like this reflect how developers and businesses are responding not just to population growth, but to the long-term needs of families planting roots in the area.
