Katy ISD to Host Transportation Job Fair on May 18
Mark your calendar for the Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) Transportation Job Fair on Saturday, May 18! The district is actively seeking qualified candidates for bus driver and bus attendant positions.
Katy ISD will welcome prospective candidates who are eager to contribute to the continued success of Katy ISD. The positions available are essential to the day-to-day operations that support the district's nearly 93,000 students, with approximately 25,000 of them taking the school bus each morning and afternoon, according to Katy ISD.
There are three transportation centers in Katy ISD, with a fleet of nearly 440 regular needs buses and 271 special needs buses. The regular needs buses run approximately 255 bus routes with about 7,500 stops, while the special needs buses have around 128 bus routes with approximately 1,600 stops. According to School Bus Fleet Magazine, Katy I.S.D. has the 65th largest school bus route fleet in the U.S. and the 7th largest in the State of Texas.
