Voters Elect Three New CFISD Board Trustees in November Election
In a meaningful step for local education leadership, voters across the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) elected three new trustees to the district’s Board of Trustees during the November 4, 2025 election.
With all 600 Harris County voting centers reporting, unofficial election results show Lesley Guilmart, Cleveland Lane Jr., and Kendra Camarena securing seats in Positions 5, 6, and 7, respectively. Each candidate will begin their first term serving the CFISD community for the next four years.
A Closer Look at the Results
In the race for Position 5, Lesley Guilmart received 31,576 votes, or 50.89% of the total, defeating Radele Walker (33.72%) and Terrance Edmond (15.4%).
For Position 6, Cleveland Lane Jr. earned 28,082 votes (44.79%), winning over Natalie Blasingame (34.25%) and Scott Henry (20.96%).
In the Position 7 contest, Kendra Camarena secured 30,446 votes (49.01%) to take the lead ahead of George Edwards Jr. (38.08%) and Elecia Jones (12.91%).

Each race attracted more than 62,000 votes—62,052 for Position 5, 62,693 for Position 6, and 62,120 for Position 7. Early voting played a major role in turnout, accounting for over half of the ballots in all three races: 54.5% in Positions 5 and 6, and 54.6% in Position 7.
Out of the 381,986 registered voters within CFISD, approximately 18.36% participated in the election.
What’s Next
The official results of the election will be canvassed during a special-called Board of Trustees meeting on November 17. The newly elected trustees will take their oaths of office at the December 11 work session and begin serving their four-year terms alongside current board members.
