KCM Cajun Fest & Cook-Off Brings Louisiana Flavor and Community Spirit to Katy
Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) is inviting the community to its highly anticipated Cajun Fest & Cook-Off, a family-friendly event celebrating the rich flavors of Louisiana while raising funds to support local families in need. Scheduled to take place on March 4, 2025 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the Katy Beer Garden in Katy, Texas, the event will feature a Cajun cook-off, live Zydeco music, crawfish, food trucks, games, and activities for all ages.
This annual event benefits KCM’s vital programs, including its Social Services, Food Pantry, and Crisis Center for Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse. In 2024 alone, the KCM Food Pantry served nearly 160 families daily, reflecting a growing need for community support. Proceeds from the Cajun Fest will directly aid these programs, offering hope and resources to families facing hardship.
Cook-Off Details
At the heart of the Cajun Fest is the spirited Cajun Cook-Off, where participants can showcase their culinary talents. From gumbo and jambalaya to crawfish étouffée and open Cajun dishes, the competition invites creativity and Mardi Gras-inspired flair. A $50 entry fee secures a spot in the contest, and participants can compete for prizes across multiple categories, including dessert. Costumes, decorations, and parade-style fun are highly encouraged to keep the Mardi Gras spirit alive.
