Holiday Magic Returns: The Light Park Illuminates Katy’s Typhoon Texas for 2025 Season
As holiday traditions sparkle to life across Texas, The Light Park in Katy is once again welcoming families, friends, and festive spirits for its 2025 season.
Held at Typhoon Texas near Katy Mills, this drive-through Christmas light experience is one of the most talked-about holiday attractions in the region. Featuring millions of LED lights choreographed to upbeat holiday music, The Light Park invites families from Katy and Fulshear to enjoy a one-of-a-kind seasonal celebration.
The park’s holiday light season kicks off November 7 and runs daily through January 4, open 5:30–10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and 5:30–11 p.m. Friday–Saturday, with extended hours until 11 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and nightly starting December 19 for holiday festivities.

The show is designed to be viewed entirely from your car, making it an ideal activity for young children, grandparents, or anyone who just wants to stay cozy while soaking in the sights. From sparkling tunnels to larger-than-life installations, the mile-long route brings out the wonder in every guest.
Tickets to The Light Park are sold per vehicle, with the best prices available online. Pre-sale tickets (Oct. 15–31) are just $29.99 for flexible weekday visits. Once the season starts, online prices range from $39.99 (Mon–Thurs) to $49.99 (Fri–Sun). Gate admission is $60, so early online booking is recommended.
For frequent visitors, the Season Pass is $79.99 and includes unlimited visits to all locations (some blackout dates apply). VIP bundles and fast-pass upgrades are also available.

The Katy location is part of a statewide series of Light Park shows, but the convenience of having one so close to home has made it a holiday favorite in the area.
