Katy Fire Department Announces 2026 Santa Tours Schedule: Find Out When Santa Is Coming to Your Neighborhood
One of Katy's favorite Christmas traditions is making its return, and families can start marking their calendars for a special visit from Santa Claus right in their own neighborhoods.
The Katy Fire Department has released its 2026 Santa Tours schedule, bringing Santa back to local streets aboard a fire truck for a series of holiday visits beginning Monday, November 30, and continuing through Friday, December 18.
For Katy families, the annual Santa Tours offer something a little different from the usual trip to see Santa at the mall. Instead of waiting in line, children can watch for the lights of a fire truck coming down their street, listen for the sirens and enjoy a little Christmas magic close to home.
The department's newly released calendar identifies which Katy neighborhoods are scheduled for visits, with detailed street-by-street route maps and Santa tracking information expected to be available soon.

The schedule identifies general neighborhoods and areas rather than individual streets. Residents should check the forthcoming route maps to determine whether their particular street is included.
How to Find Your Street on the 2026 Katy Santa Tours Route
While the neighborhood schedule gives families a date to look forward to, the Katy Fire Department says more detailed information is on the way.
The department plans to release 2026 Santa Tours route maps and Santa tracking information to help residents follow Santa's progress and determine where they can watch for his arrival.
This distinction is especially important for residents living in larger neighborhoods or areas with multiple sections. A neighborhood appearing on the calendar does not necessarily mean every street will be included in the route.
Families can follow the Katy Fire Department Facebook page for updates, including route maps, tracking details and additional information about the tours.
Residents can also visit the City of Katy website for information from the Katy Fire Department.
A Katy Christmas Tradition That Brings Neighbors Together
For children, spotting Santa aboard a fire truck can become one of those holiday memories that sticks around long after the decorations come down.
For parents and grandparents, it is an opportunity to enjoy a familiar seasonal tradition without traveling far from home. And for neighbors, the tours offer another reason to step outside, wave to familiar faces and share in the excitement of the Christmas season.
The visits also bring residents and their local firefighters together in a setting that is quite different from the emergency calls and public safety responsibilities that ordinarily define the department's work.
While the holiday excitement centers on Santa, the firefighters accompanying him are an important part of what makes the annual tradition possible.
What Happens Next for the 2026 Katy Santa Tours?
With the calendar now available, families can begin planning for their neighborhood's scheduled visit. The next step is watching for the Katy Fire Department's detailed route maps, Santa tracking information and any additional tour instructions.
Residents are encouraged to check the department's official updates as their scheduled dates approach, particularly for information about specific streets and Santa's progress through their neighborhoods.
The first scheduled tour begins Monday, November 30, 2026, in Firethorne 1, with the final scheduled visits taking place Friday, December 18, in several Katy neighborhoods and residential areas.
Whether it is a child's first time seeing Santa on a fire truck or a tradition the family looks forward to every December, the Katy Fire Department's Santa Tours offer a familiar way for the community to celebrate the season together.
