Wonder Restaurant Coming to Katy’s Centre at ParkWest, Bringing a New Multi-Restaurant Dining Concept to I-10
Katy residents could soon have a new way to settle the familiar question of what to eat for dinner, especially when everyone in the family wants something different.
Wonder, a restaurant concept that brings multiple culinary brands together under one roof, is planning a location at The Centre at ParkWest along Interstate 10, giving local diners another option for takeout, delivery and meals enjoyed on-site.
The proposed Wonder restaurant would occupy a 4,603-square-foot space at 24714 Katy Freeway, Suite 300, in Katy. According to construction project information, the estimated $1 million renovation is scheduled to begin December 28, 2026, with completion anticipated March 8, 2027.
While those dates provide an early look at the company's plans for Katy, an official restaurant opening date has not been announced. The project nevertheless offers a glimpse of a dining experience that differs from the traditional restaurant model, allowing customers to mix and match meals from different menus in a single order.
What Is Wonder? One Restaurant With More Than 25 Dining Concepts
Wonder is not a typical food hall where customers walk between independently operated restaurant counters. Instead, the company brings menus from numerous restaurant brands into a single kitchen operation, where meals are prepared and finished for pickup, delivery or dine-in.
The concept was founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Marc Lore, a former Walmart e-commerce executive. Wonder initially experimented with mobile kitchens that prepared meals near customers' homes before shifting to traditional storefront locations in 2023. Its first brick-and-mortar restaurant opened on New York City's Upper West Side, and the company has since expanded throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Today, Wonder's platform features more than 25 restaurant concepts, including collaborations with well-known chefs and established food brands. Its appeal is the ability to order different types of food without having to coordinate meals from several restaurants.
For a Katy family, that could mean ordering pizza for the kids, barbecue for one parent and a Mediterranean meal for another, all through the same checkout process. Rather than requiring everyone to agree on one cuisine, Wonder is designed to accommodate different tastes and dietary preferences within a single order.
What's on the Menu at Wonder?
Wonder's restaurant lineup includes everything from burgers, pizza and fried chicken to sushi, Indian food, Mediterranean dishes, steak, barbecue and salads.
Among the brands featured on Wonder's platform are Bobby Flay Steak, Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson, Di Fara Pizza, Dabba Indian Kitchen, Burger Baby, Happy Tuna, Royal Greens and Tejas Barbecue. Other concepts include Greek-inspired dishes from Chios Taverna by Michael Symon, comfort food from The Mainstay by Marc Murphy and desserts from Room for Dessert.
One particularly interesting connection for Greater Houston diners is Tejas Barbecue, a brand associated with Tomball's acclaimed Tejas Chocolate + Barbecue. Its inclusion in Wonder's national restaurant lineup brings a familiar name from the northwest Houston area into the company's expanding culinary network.
Wonder also offers family-friendly options, including Bellies, a restaurant concept developed around meals for children. The broader menu selection allows customers to combine familiar favorites with dishes they might not otherwise order on a typical weeknight.
The specific restaurant brands and menu selections that will be available at the Katy location have not yet been confirmed. Wonder's offerings can vary by location, so customers will need to wait for the local menu announcement to know exactly which concepts will be represented.
The Centre at ParkWest Continues to Grow Along Katy Freeway
The planned Wonder restaurant will join The Centre at ParkWest, a commercial development positioned at the northeast corner of Interstate 10 and Katy Fort Bend Road in Katy.
According to the development's marketing materials, The Centre at ParkWest encompasses approximately 4.47 acres and was designed with four commercial pad sites. The property benefits from frontage along Interstate 10, access from the freeway feeder road and nearby connections to Katy Fort Bend Road, which serves traffic traveling in both directions along the interstate.
The development is situated within one of Katy's established retail corridors, with Katy Mills Mall approximately 0.55 miles to the west and No Label Brewing Company approximately 0.70 miles away. Katy ISD's Legacy Stadium is also nearby, while additional commercial growth continues around the Katy Fort Bend Road corridor.
The Centre at ParkWest's leasing materials estimate that more than 200,000 vehicles travel along the adjacent Interstate 10 corridor daily, with additional traffic passing through the nearby signalized intersection. Those figures are marketing estimates rather than a current traffic count, but they help explain the location's appeal to businesses seeking visibility and convenient access.
For Katy residents, the location places Wonder near shopping destinations, neighborhoods and major commuter routes. Its proximity to Katy Mills and surrounding retail businesses could make it a convenient stop for dinner after shopping, a quick meal on the way home or takeout for families heading back from school activities.
The new restaurant is another addition to the Katy Freeway corridor, giving residents in nearby neighborhoods more dining options as the area continues to grow.
Wonder's Texas Expansion Includes Houston, Spring and Other Major Cities
Wonder's planned Katy restaurant is part of a much larger expansion across Texas.
In February 2026, the company announced plans to enter the Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio metropolitan areas, marking its first major expansion beyond its established Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets. Wonder said it intended to open more than 100 Texas locations by the end of 2027, with the first openings expected in early 2027.
The company also projected that its statewide expansion would create thousands of jobs through restaurant operations and related investments. Those are companywide projections, and no specific hiring figures have been announced for Katy
In the Greater Houston area, additional Wonder projects have been reported at 6625 Spring Stuebner Road in Spring and 107 Yale Street in Houston. Another planned location has been identified at 606 Dennis Street in Midtown Houston. These projects indicate that the Katy restaurant would be part of a broader regional rollout rather than a standalone venture.
Wonder's expansion strategy focuses heavily on suburban communities, where customers often balance work schedules, school activities and family responsibilities. Its delivery-oriented model is designed to serve those households while also offering the option to pick up meals or dine in.
For the Katy area, the concept would add a different kind of restaurant experience to an already extensive dining scene, one that combines several recognizable food brands in a single location rather than introducing just one new menu.
When Will Wonder Open in Katy?
Construction information for the proposed Wonder restaurant at The Centre at ParkWest identifies a renovation project with an estimated cost of $1 million. Work on the 4,603-square-foot space is scheduled to begin December 28, 2026, and conclude March 8, 2027.
The project is classified as a renovation or alteration of an existing commercial space rather than construction of an entirely new building. Although the projected completion date suggests a possible spring 2027 opening, the company has not announced when the Katy restaurant will begin serving customers.
Additional details, including the restaurant's operating hours, local menu, employment opportunities and availability of dine-in seating, have not yet been released.
For residents who regularly travel along Katy Freeway or shop near Katy Mills, the new restaurant could eventually provide a convenient option for picking up several different meals in one stop. And for families accustomed to negotiating everyone's dinner preferences, Wonder's multi-restaurant approach may be worth keeping an eye on as the project moves forward.
