Grand Cypress Doctors Pavilion Opens in Cypress, Expanding Access to Specialty Healthcare Near Highway 290 and Grand Parkway
Residents in Cypress now have access to a growing range of healthcare services closer to home as the newly completed Grand Cypress Doctors Pavilion officially opens near U.S. Highway 290 and the Grand Parkway.
Located at 22215 Cypresswood Drive in Cypress, the three-story, 61,000-square-foot medical office building represents the first completed phase of the larger Grand Cypress Medical Pavilions campus — a long-term physician-led healthcare development designed to meet rising medical demand in one of the fastest-growing areas in Greater Houston.
Constructed by CONAR Building Group and developed by North Cypress Land Ventures LLC, the new pavilion houses a mix of specialty and primary care providers, currently including Keller Surgical Specialists, GastroDoxs, FloMD Primary Care, Quest Diagnostics, Memorial Hermann-affiliated services, and Houston Cosmetic Surgery Center led by Dr. David Davila.
The project also includes a full gastrointestinal clinic featuring four standard GI procedure rooms and one combined GI and pain management room, helping expand outpatient care options for residents in Cypress and surrounding northwest Harris County communities.
A Growing Healthcare Hub for Cypress Families
As Cypress continues to experience rapid residential and commercial growth, healthcare infrastructure has increasingly become a priority for families seeking nearby access to specialty care, imaging, diagnostics, and outpatient procedures without traveling deeper into Houston.
The completion of Grand Cypress Doctors Pavilion comes as several major healthcare systems continue investing in the area, including Houston Methodist’s Cypress campus development and Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital’s ongoing expansion projects.
For many local residents, the addition of a centralized medical office building near two major transportation corridors could mean shorter drive times, more convenient appointments, and expanded access to preventative and specialty care close to where they live.
The pavilion’s location at the northeast corner of Highway 290 and SH 99 positions it near some of the region’s fastest-growing master-planned communities and commercial corridors.
Physician-Led Vision Began Before the Pandemic
In April 2024, physician investors with North Cypress Land Ventures LLC broke ground on Grand Cypress Doctors Pavilion One — the first building planned within a larger 30-acre medical campus.
The physician-investor group is led by Dr. Kim Keller, a longtime Houston-area general surgeon and former founder and board member of North Cypress Medical Center, now HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress.
At the time of the groundbreaking, developers described the project as a response to the increasing demand for quality healthcare services in Cypress, where population growth has continued to outpace much of the region.
The larger Grand Cypress Medical Pavilions campus — previously referred to as the Cypress Health and Wellness Campus — is expected to eventually include four to five medical buildings, including a proposed wellness center and women’s and/or cancer center.
Plans for the broader development were temporarily delayed during the COVID-19 pandemic before resuming.
Building Designed for Modern Outpatient Care
The completed facility was designed by Brentwood, Tennessee-based Davis Stokes Collaborative Architects, a firm known nationally for healthcare and professional building design.
During the original groundbreaking announcement in 2024, Keller highlighted the long-standing partnership with architect Willie Stokes, whose previous medical office projects with the physician group included nationally recognized healthcare facility designs.
The building’s tenant mix reflects the growing trend toward outpatient and multidisciplinary medical campuses, where patients can access diagnostics, specialist consultations, procedures, and follow-up care in a single location.
That model has become increasingly important in suburban communities like Cypress, where continued population growth has fueled demand for expanded healthcare accessibility outside Houston’s urban core.
What Happens Next at Grand Cypress Medical Pavilions
While the opening of Grand Cypress Doctors Pavilion marks a major milestone, it is only the beginning of the broader Grand Cypress Medical Pavilions vision.
Previous project estimates indicated the full campus could ultimately represent up to a $600 million healthcare development over multiple phases.
Future plans have included additional medical office buildings, wellness-focused facilities, preventative care initiatives, and expanded specialty treatment centers aimed at serving the long-term needs of the Cypress community.
For residents, the project reflects a broader transformation already underway across northwest Harris County — one where healthcare, infrastructure, and population growth are increasingly evolving together.
As more families continue moving into Cypress and surrounding communities, projects like Grand Cypress Doctors Pavilion are expected to play an important role in shaping how and where residents access care in the years ahead.
